The BHS presents: Stephen King’s Carrie under the stars

The Bangor Historical Society proudly presents a spine-chilling movie night under the stars at the historic Mount Hope Cemetery: the 1976 masterpiece Carrie, directed by Brian De Palma and based off Stephen King’s first published novel. 

Wednesday, August 21, gates open at 6:30pm, with the film starting at 8 pm. Tickets must be purchased ahead of the event and will be capped at 500 attendees. Each ticket is $15.

People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. SEATING IS NOT PROVIDED. The movie will be shown on the grassy left side of the main cemetery entrance. Concessions will be available for purchase. No pets, no smoking, no drugs, and no alcohol permitted.

Parking

Parking for the event is located at United Technologies Center at 200 Hogan Road in Bangor. To ensure comfort and convenience, buses will be available to transport attendees to and from Mount Hope. Bus transport for the film will start at 6:30PM. Buses will loop from UTC to the cemetery until just prior to the film’s start time. PARKING IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CEMETERY. Only handicap parking is available on site: please contact us at 207-942-1900 for more details. There will also be a designated drop off/pick up area outside the cemetery’s State Street gate.

Rain Date

In the event of inclement weather, a postponement notice will be sent out via email (to the email address used to purchase your tickets). Rain date will be August 22.
